After two rounds of League Games only 3 teams remain on a 100% Record,

British Legion had a routine victory home to the Jax Bar winning 8-2 to maintain their great start to their first league campaign

The Tower continued their bright start to their defense running out 7-3 winners away to the Derailers.

Barracudas went over to the First and Last, a tough place to go but managed to go away with all three points with a 7-3 victory. Tudor Young Men Started brightly in their match going 5-1 up but the chix mounted a late charge but it was not enough as the young men claimed a 6-4 win.

The Pub grabbed their first win of the season against the Tudor Old boys. After going 4-0 up the Old boys came at the pub and at 5-4 Jamie Baillie stepped up for the Pub and claimed the win. Faulty Towers also won their first game running out 6-4 winners against an improved Hardford Team.

First up we go to last years champions The Tower as they made a great start to their league campaign winning at home 7-3 v the Pub. It was a tight start to the match and at one stage it was level at 3-3 but the Pub old boy Simon McKibbin came back to haunt his old side to give them a 4-3 lead and from there they didn't look back winning the remaining 3 frames. Last years runners up and previous winners Barracudas welcomed League new boys Faulty Towers to the Ivy. Faulty Towers made a bright start winning the first frame and. The next few frames were tight and at 2-2 Stevie Strains men kicked on and won the next 3 on the bounce for 5-2. Tom Palmer for the Tower reduced it to 5-3 but Sam Bowers ended any hopes for a draw for the Faulty Towers winning the next frame for 6-3 with the Tower taking the last for 6-4

Tudor Old Boys also welcomed new boys Jax to the Tudor and it was not such a tight affair as Raymonds Potters lads ran out convincing 8-2 winners. 

The Legion made a bright start to their First League match winning 7-3 in the Hardford. Tudor Young men Salvaged a draw away to the First and Last after going into the last frame 5-4 down. The Derailers had similar fortunes away to the Chix. Chix were 5-4 up but were not able to field a 10th player so it ended up a 5-5 Draw.

First up We look at the Towers trip over to the First and Last.

Irvine Halliday was first up for the F&L and give them a 1 nil lead after taking a frame against last years individuals winner Craig Robson. The next two frames went the Towers way with Robert Bowman giving them the lead against his former team. The next few frames were shared and going in at 4-4 Jason Crawford Give the Tower a 5-4 win and looked like they would go on to win but First and Last had other ideas as Max Shaw and John Quinn won the next two frames for a shock 6-5 win. It was all in vain as the Tower Qualified through the group on Frame Difference.

Next match was Tudor Young men V Tudor Old boys with Qualification for the semi final at Stake. It turned out to be a routine victory for the Young Men, First Frame after a missed opportunity From the Old Boys, Jason Horner Cleared the remaining balls to give the young men a great start. 

Wins from Mark Marsh, Chris Cook and John Carnduff, gave the TYM a 4 nil lead. Graeme McKeague reduced the arrears for the Old boys Before His Brother James handed the game to Simon Savage after picking the ball up without asking the ref to take it back after a foul to gift them a 5-1 lead. Captain Matthew Wylie Then won the 7th Frame for the Young men to send them through.

The two other games were dead rubbers but a Great First victory for Faulty towers after coming back from 5-2 down to win the last 4 frames for a 6-5 win. Derailers had a routine victory against the Hardford winning 8-3

Barracudas Ivy 9-2 Derailers

First up saw new boys Faulty Towers making the trip to play the Legion.  Drew McKnight's men made a great start in their debut match taking a 4-1 lead. James King's men kicked into form and won the next 4 to take a 5-4 lead. Cameron Henderson won the next frame for the Faulty Towers to ensure there was a nail biting end to the match but there was to be no fairy tale win for the Tower as Scott Agnew won he deciding frame for the Legion to send them through to the Semi final of the competition.

Tudor Old boys welcomed the Chix and made a bright start winning 3 out of the first 4 frames. Chix won the next to reduce the lead to 3-2 but the Old boys won the next 4 frames for the win with Chix getting the last 2 for a 7-4 win for the Old Boys.

2016 Winners The Tower made a bright start to their League Cup Campaign. They took a 4 nil lead early on. Glen O'Neill pulled one back for the Pub but that was to be as good as it got as the Tower won the remaining frames for a 10-1 victory.

Last up we had 3 time winners Barracudas continuing on from last week. They lost the first frame of the night but Stevie Strains men won the next 8 in a row with the last two frames being shared. for a 9-2 victory.

The Pub 7-4 First and Last

First up we had a very tight match between League New boys Jaxs Bar and Brittish Legion. After sharing the first 4 frames James Kings boys took the next 3 for a  5-2 Lead, Jaxs reduced the arrears to 5-4 with wins from captain Gordy Kelly and Dessy Graham.

Scott Agnew sealed the win for the Legion with Jaxs claiming the last frame.

TYM claimed a great result away to the Chixs. After losing the first frame TYM won the next 9 in a row with the Chixs grabbing the last frame for a 9-2 win.

The Pub started well in their match against the first and last winning the first 6 frames, first and last put some respectability to the scoreline winning the next 4 Scott Beatties Men claimed the last frame for a 7-4 result.

Stevie Strains Barracudas had similar fortunes winning the first 5 frames of their match but Hardford rallied to take the next 3 frames for a 5-3 score. It was all in vain as The Barracudas won the remaining 3 frames for a 8-3 win.
